our surrounds

the grounds around us

An essential part to the development, evolution and preservation of the surrounds of Peninsula Hot Springs is our Land and Environment Team. Their care and passion stems from the values instilled by our founders Richard and Charles Davidson, and their approach is still carried through since the initial development stages of our site.

A healthy, thriving and balanced ecosystem is not only the backdrop to wellbeing; it's the bedrock. Our teams commitment to land, conservation and regeneration are positioned as a deep connector to wellness and are seen in the transformation of our native bushland, wetlands, and newest facility, the Food Bowl.

our land and environment team

Our team combines an ecological and scientific approach, while experimenting with creative, unexpected ways of using plants and landscape materials to harness our sites aesthetic potential.

our commitment

Over the last 25 years, we’ve worked to revegetate the grounds in line with the Coastal Alkaline Scrub Ecological Vegetation Community and plant in line with the local Ecological Vegetation Community (EVC).

more about the story of our surrounds

The site of Peninsula Hot Springs is home to an abundance of native flora, indigenous blushland and wetland, each nurtured by the hands of our Land and Environment team.

Ecological principles are woven with the aesthetics of a maintained garden, with the intention of creating the ideal habitat for a variety of fauna species. We welcome and provide a home for a variety of water birds, frogs, lizards, bees along with many more, and treat our grounds to provide a wonderful, tranquil landscape for our guests.
